Florida has some of the best stand your ground laws in the nation. You are allowed to use lethal force to stop any felony from occurring. So if, for example, someone were to pull a knife on a gas station cashier to rob the till, I can legally shoot them in the face. (right in their mask-less face, because we also aren't locked down and it's understood that it is the right of the individual to assume whatever risk they feel like taking. Things down here are basically normal. Old people and women wear masks in grocery stores, but I'd say over 50% of people are just going about life like normal.) Obviously it isnt recommended, because it's not worth the $200 max he would be stealing to have my gun entered into evidence and go through the court process, but I would be found justified in the action. This applies to every felony btw. If I can reasonable assume that an innocent person is being put in harms way, I can use lethal force. This seems like Desantis is trying to extend this to apply to property as well as people, so that you can defend your livelihood, and not just your life.
Florida is like what Texas used to be, pretty much everyone is carrying. Unfortunately you can't open carry here, but you should assume that everyone you meet is packing. Out of all the people I know locally, I would say 80+% of them conceal carry every day.
There might be looting in hyper liberal areas like Gainesville or Miami, but you would be an absolute fool to try it anywhere in this state. Florida man stereotype keeps lots of libs out of the state for a reason. Lots of people down here just don't give a fuck, and if you mess with them or their shit, you're gonna get some holes punched in you.

Manufacturer here. Obviously don't want Biden in office. Not hearing anything other than what is already known. Looks like there is clear manipulation. 100,000+ votes all coming in for Biden in the middle of the night with 0 for Trump, a statistical improbability so large it could be used as evidence in and of itself. Plus that exact thing happening in multiple states. Feels rigged, because it clearly is.
Biden wants to enforce rules that would destroy my industry and my job. I manage the online sales of firearms, which he wants to ban outright. For now though, our sales are skyrocketing and I assume they will do so up until any actual restrictions or laws are tried to be imposed.
Ultimately though, the people decide what laws and powers they allow the Government to create and dictate. This may just result in states not following national edicts. Like if a community starts teaching prayer in schools, what are the feds actually gonna do. This could just move us back into a functioning republic focused on states rights over national law.
Get your guns and ammo while you can though, because there is gonna be another dry spell in the next couple months.

Industry insider here. The reason the ATF is going after Q is because the brace they put on their honey badger gun is proprietary and they didn't get it approved by the ATF before selling it with their pistol. It is still a BS move, but this seems to just be the ATF flexing their muscle so that manufacturers don't start making braces without the ATF signing off on them first, regardless of whether or not the braces meet all the required specifications.
My company offers a truck gun pistol that has SBA3 braces that the ATF did sign off on, and we haven't received any push back regarding them. Nosteponsnake still tho

As an industry insider, all our data (and all the water cooler talk from others in the industry) indicate that there will be a huge increase in ammo and gun sales after this election, regardless of the results. We have over a half million put into ammo orders (which we placed 4 months ago and still haven't received due to supply chain issues) and every time any ammo does come in, it sells out within a week. It sells for 3x what it is normally worth too. Some boxes of 9mm are going for $2/round retail. It's unheard of for us. 300BO sells out the day we get it. (We've got bulk 9mm and .223 coming in soon. I'll post here to give you guys a chance to get your feet on them before the crowds.)
I am actually in charge of collecting and analyzing data points for my company, so let me fill you in on the most interesting and relevant thing I've found so far. Every election cycle generates gun/ammo sales. Without fail, whenever "election" becomes a common topic in the social zeitgeist, 2 weeks later demand for firearms and ammo spikes. This phenomena has increased to new levels under the Trump presidency. You can plug "election" and "firearms, guns, ammo, security, etc" into Google Trends and see this for yourself.
If Trump wins sales will skyrocket due to the fear of the Left's reaction, and/or the actual reaction they have. Regardless of whether or not they go through with their threats, people will buy in preparation/anticipation of them rioting.
If Biden wins, everyone is going to rush to get whatever they can. Honestly, a Biden win will drive more sales then a Trump win. Biden is openly stating he will pursue restrictions and stricter gun laws. Not to mention, this election is (more than any before it) a bellwether for the direction we are heading as a society. If he wins, then we should expect more restrictions, more infringement of our rights, and a greater degree of communist infiltration into our Government. The lefties who want this wont be buying as much, but people like us (and anyone sensible generally) will be loading up more than ever.

The far left has all but guaranteed an increase in mostly peaceful protesting if he wins. Long term it means that gun sales will decrease, because a Trump win will be more stable, but short term fear will skyrocket in the month or two following.
Add to that any other "unjustified" police shootings, and the riots will reignite again, like they did just this week.
