I believe every American should be given a firearm at birth and charged with its maintenance and education in safety/use. This firearm will then be passed onto their grandchildren to continue the line and honor their ancestors. If an individual chooses not to continue their bloodline the firearm gets their name etched into said firearm and placed in the hall of shame. Those who can't conceive or die before able to continue their bloodline will not be in the hall of shame due to circumstances they can't control.
I won't put it past them to try and pass it though. Funny you mentioned the 10/22, when I showed my wife the article I said this isn't just AR15 owners that would be affected, it would also affect people like my buddy with his 10/22. She was stunned and asked if it would matter with her gun (Henry American Beauty) and I told her no since magazine is fixed. Then I explained that it wouldn't matter since they would try to register all gun owners.
