1858 Remington replicas

Drill holes in the reloading plunger supports on each w/ carabiners/chain to tether together. Could still use as dual wield revolvers, warhammers, chain garrote or gunchuks.

Nice & short so you have to run generator in the house.

/totally fits with heaven's gate mindset

This also why used guns in some areas have climbed in price. Fewer of them.

Probably not many These likely the leftovers after the cops loaded out what they wanted.

After the AWB in '94 I saw an accessory kit for pinned mag AR's that let you use stripper clips. Slower to reload than mag drop but not that slow. It consisted of a plastic guide that fit over the mag when AR open and a new rear receiver pin with an oversized knurled head you could pull out with your fingers. Lame but workable.

Cry over the bigger tragedy. 55K Pedersen's made, all but ~100 scrapped.

Ain't no one bragging about that.

What's the under/over on a subreddit devoted exactly to that?

It's not a direct interchange. Bullet intentionally smaller so if put into 7.62x25 or 7.63 Mauser there will be lots of blowby to reduce pressure. 7.63 Mauser will fire in a 7.62x25 but may not cycle the action.

CZ sort of reintroduced it with the 7.5 FK (7.5x27: 95 gr. @ 2000 FPS - 6" barrel). It is the closest dimensionally to the 7.62x25 and outperforms it across the board.

u/IGLOO-DEVGRU, you understand the M1 Garand was developed to be reliable only with ammo used by the US military in WW2, right? That was M2 ball, 150-grain. That it may break the gas system if a steady diet of heavier grain ammo is used should not surprise anyone. And for a rifle built 80 years ago, surplused out after WW2 to countries all over the world, then reimported back to the US with a worn out barrel; 4 MOA shouldn't be a suprise either.

I think that's his mom's back.

It has ".38 Super" stamped on the barrel.

edit: apparently that is a thing -

So is this really about the price not availability?

Has the end game on guns and the chokehold on ammo changed in the last 2 decades? Nope. What has changed is the concentration of buys from one country (that's been getting various sanctions for nearly a decade) thus creating a huge vulnerabiilty to supply. The majority of whining on all platforms is "I wuz waiting for $0.20 cpr!!!" Had you been buying all along and stacking it there would be way less panic now.

I don't know how many 7.62x39mm rifles there are in the states vs 5.56 but i feel like there have to be more than enough to justify major ammo companies making a shit ton.

I don't think it's parity but there are a lot. When the Chinese AKs were imported in the 80s you could get 1000 rds. for something like $50. Lots of people got into the caliber then and even more with the $80 SKS imports. So it's had a lot of time to develop a following. When the AK kits started showing up in the late 90s even more got onboard as they were built up. Judging by the demand on $80 then Romanian G kits (selling now at $800-900) the 7.62x39 is here to stay.

Exactly. I have an AK-74 and 7N6 will likely never return from Russia.

However, you used to be able to get it around me for $99.95/1080...and you can still find Russian milsurp at $0.40cpr. A lot of people filled 20-foot containers with it when it was cheap. Hornady also makes it and there is Wolf branded stuff out of Ukraine. Would not suprise me to see Privi or Aguila making it at some point if there is demand. If you need it you can get it and shortage won't stop me from buying a VEPR in that caliber if one showed up.

You wait for the supply chain to catch up -

Any ammo manufacturer: "Should we make more .257 Roberts or start cranking out 7.62x39?
