Hey dudes. I'm having some trouble with my latest AR-15 build. Maybe you can help me figure out what I did wrong. I think I've isolated it to the bolt release area.
-
I am using a BAD lever (inb4 raifu clit massage)
-
I installed my (modified) bolt release spring underneath the bolt release holding it in the catch position unless the BAD lever is pressed.
-
Not sure if relevant, but I'm also using a modified firing pin that seems to always protrude from the bolt face.
What seems to be happening is that whenever I press my BAD lever, I get full auto fire from an open bolt type system and the trigger does nothing. Any ideas how I can fix this???
Also, not sure if this matters, but I am just a stupid democrat politician and am only making a rifle for an ad campaign video so the NFA or whatever (IDEK what that is) doesn't apply to me. Also I'm a woman (obv.) so be nice to me and no mean comments.

modifying springs
modifying FIRING PINS
What did you actually do wrong? Or so. so right?
Sounds like s/he’s using a bolt release as a sear. I remember seeing some talk about this when the bad levers first came out. IIRC the bolt release springs up to prevent runaway fire and you can insert a dowel rod into the carrier in such a way as to keep the firing pin forward like an open bolt firing system. u/migger how close am I?
Does it count as a machine gun since the trigger does not fire more than one shot per pull?
Its allowed to decide what type of gun it wants to be.
Best bet is to remove the trigger altogether.
Well it sounds like either
A) the bad lever has become the new trigger and it is an automatic machine gun Or
B) it Is now an autonomous machine gun
Hey, if it’s autonomous, that means laws don’t apply to it right? Isn’t that what we learned from the CHAZ?
