I just moved to Maryland from a state that doesn't really allow guns
I want to buy a few, money is not a limiting factor
what should I buy and where do I buy them from (Bass Pro)? Are there up to date website suggestions? (after the pandemic)
I don't need to worry about ammo yet, since my friend has a lot of all kinds.
thanks!
Best deals on guns always come from the awkward bald dudes with Filipino mail order brides. Also, if your friend lets you have ammo willingly in times like these, he's probably hooking you in and the big favor is coming later... pretty soon you're gonna be following daddy around by the belt loop, wearing lip gloss, and desensitizing your gag reflex for a box of 9mm.
I'd pay for the ammo
Maryland you say??
Congratulations, you just moved into a state that doesn't really allow guns either.
I guess it's a step up if you moved there from NJ... But seriously don't kid yourself into thinking that MD is in any way shape or form a bastion of freedom from excessive and draconian gun laws
moved from DC

Wait there’s zones where they give out free guns?
You can head to your local school for that
Anyone who owns a gun should have at least 1,000 rounds for it. That's possible even in the current market, you just have to be persistent about finding it. Don't be the guy who mooches ammo.
My recommendation would be to buy a rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun in that order.
I wont mooch ammo, just purchase
Many gun owners in the region drive around Maryland, even if they’re not carrying at the time. I guess it’ll be hard to follow that rule in your case. You’re fooked.
braveheart reference
Hate to say it but if you don't have either an AR or AK, you ain't part of the club. Bonus points if you build from the ground up. It's not hard, they are adult legos.
Next you need a carry weapon and it's either a 1911 if you're a straight white male or something else depending on how far to the gay you are on the sexuality scale
Next is a shotgun, get a M1897. If your rich then get a real one and if you are a poor get a Norinco version. Middle class is the Cimarron
Now you get good stuff, an ethno centered history gun. English? Get a SMLE. Swiss? Grab a Schmidt Ruben. African...well...that's a second AK for you, but do something cool with it.
Finally statement piece. This is what you brag about. Maybe it's a MG42 or a Puckle gun or maybe, like, a M198 towed. A blunderbuss is also cool. I have a Verletti that no one on the planet makes ammo for
Depends on what you’re using it for. Generally starting with a handgun isn’t a bad idea
Check out Maryland Shooters at mdshooters.com. A lot of good info there.
