It’s a lot of work to click 4 buttons twice a month so I’m making this a monthly thread.
Also I accidentally spilled some gasoline into a recycle bin I was using for styrofoam. The resultant mess was super sticky and hard to clean up so I just scooped it into some old mason jars. Now I don’t know what to do with it. I was thinking maybe I could fashion a wick and use it as a homemade candle. Any other suggestions?
Best place to by muzzleloader supplies? I'm just getting into it and got a 50 cal.
I've gotten some on midway and some from Natchez. Hazmat fee sucks, especially when you'll only get 70-100 shots with a pound of black powder. Ball and bullets are easier to find. You can make your own blackpowder, it's not difficult but it takes time and can be messy. If you have a rock tumbler from harbor fright, lead balls will ball mill powder. You can get saltpeter and sulfur at garden shops but if you're on best gunnit you're on watchlists already. You can get it on amazon. Charcoal is easy enough to get.
You can make patches from the cumrags you keep under your bed. Cut them into 1-2" squares. Experiment around until you find what size works for you.
You can make your own lube from crisco, veggie oil and beeswax. I haven't tried the beeswax, just the crisco and oil. It's oily and messy, I assume the wX will keep it together better. You could try the grease you make yourself. Microwave it and put your patches in to soak. In the fridge and you got pre lubed patches baby.
If it's a flintlock you're all set. If it's a caplock.. I have nothing for you. Haven't been able to find caps. If it uses 209 primers, I've seen them in stock online on those sites occasionally. Luckily not many people reload shots hells, so they stay in stock a little longer. Maybe go to the skeet range and meet some fudds reloading their Winchester AA hulls. Talk about how the 1911 is the best handgun and how the garand ping fooled Germans. Maybe they'll help you out. After washing your mouth out, you'll be all set.
Tried using rags from under bed. Used sledge to start patch down muzzle and sent it. Patch now stuck in tree like playing card. Advice?
Don’t. Fuck. It.
Camp fire and tire weights?
Do you have the whole colonial outfit yet?
I have stormtrooper armor, basically the same right?
