I currently own 3 magazines for my AR, and all of them are the dirt-cheap steel variety. I've been thinking about buying a few more. Aside from the obvious answer (Magpul PMAGs), are there any brands that you guys would recommend?

magpul is really the only answer. reliable and cheap. Lanbos has them for $9 on the regular. website is trash but it's legit.
Seriously good tip on Lanbo's. They have the best prices on most gear and a very reasonable shipping policy.
But how will I uphold my reputation for needless contrarianism if I buy the same thing as everyone else?
All jokes aside, I have heard stories of people having issues with polymer feed lips. Is there any truth to that, or is it just hearsay?
I’ve ran probably 10k rounds though my m16 and never had a failure due to a pmag. Only magazines I’ve ever had issues with are the palmetto state metal ones
They are by far the best mag ever made. I just wouldn't keep them loaded for more than like a year to avoid any issue with creep.
