Well I guess I'm going with a bolt gun then. I just didn't want to have to fool with mags in my car gobag. All I have seen have 5 rd mags. You know of anything bigger? And ammo going bad won't be too big of an issue at least while we can still get some. I'll shoot up a box week at minimum just shooting at crap on the side of the road haha. That's not counting if I actually set out to go shooting. I try not to dip into my reserves at home for any caliber while I can still buy some so I just buy enough to shoot
I'm about to get a cheap 22 mag to carry in my car. Little handier than my current car or truck gun which is an SKS with a couple extra strippers. Plus I I've gotta lot of 22 mag and it's still available. I've got a CMR now that is fucking badass but I'd hate for something to happen to it. Anyone know of any good 16.5 inch barrel levers that are affordable? Preferably with a loading gate. Henrys are too expensive and most you load my taking the tube out. I've got a Winchester 94 with a 20 barrel and it's like that. I looked at a Savage bolt action (can't remember model #) but I would rather have a lever. Thanks in advance fellow tists

Go SKS. no bubba either if you can help it. Keep the factory 10 round mag and learn how to use the strips well. Order plenty of them, a Chicom sks chest rig, buttstock cleaning kit, and buttstock strip clip pouch. I use that setup as get home rig

Alot handier and useful in day to day life. And to me, they are a little more accurate to SHOOT. I prefer my Aks in almost every way but I actually use and tote my SKS way more. I ordered a buttstock pouch forever ago for mine that holds 3 loaded stripper clips so I've go 40 rds with the gun at all times. Ak with one mag in has 30 and weighs alot more.
