So KFS was like fuck it let’s just throw a bunch of random SKS shit together to make a rifle then throw a Russian nagant scope on it to say it’s a P/U (legit like: Chinese, Russian, Albanian, so on). For this one I believe the lug on the barrel is too close for the fixed magazine to properly seat, plus the trigger group is Chinese but the connect to the magazine is a little strange (still figuring that out). The trigger group ends up being unable to seat where as the other one I am trying to actually restore is having no magazine issues but is having issues getting the dust cover to properly fit. Also SKS rifles fuck hard and are some of the easiest rifles to FA (if you have proper licenses) you should buy one again.
Edit: I should say again that KFS did make their own 10 duckbill magazine and I have the idea that it was to solve possible magazine seating issues as in one it’s tight but fits and the other it’s loos but still runs fine.
No was a parted out KFS P/U. Just got the piston in the mail yesterday and installed it. Legitimately kinda hate working on this one, for some reason it will not accept any fixed mags of any kind and will only accept either the 10rnd duckbill they came with (luckily have that) or old steel duckbills.
Already have the original stock for this one. Idc about making it back to stock I’m gonna make this one an abomination. Sheit son I might even fuck around and 3D print a working FRT, I was messing with the bolt/trigger group earlier and it seems if you reset the trigger the hammer only drops once the bolt is locked. Not to mention that the only thing keeping you from resetting the trigger using a safety system or force from the bolt is the stock safety system itself and a random useless piece of metal.
Ok so building a bubba SKS for fun since it was a parted out body. Any of you have any recommendations on aftermarket parts? Also I know “ThE tRiGgEr PaCk DoEsNt HaVe RoOm” but has anyone actually tried to frt an SKS yet?
Edit: didn’t realize wknd turned so gay before its downfall. Maybe that’s why it’s dead now.
A runaway on an SKS can only occur if you “accidentally” fill the free floating firing pin with gunk.
