But how will I uphold my reputation for needless contrarianism if I buy the same thing as everyone else?

All jokes aside, I have heard stories of people having issues with polymer feed lips. Is there any truth to that, or is it just hearsay?

I didn’t know he had more. Thanks for the laughs!

Anyone interested in the new firearms from Shot Show 2023?

Well, shit. I didn’t know there was a rule against that. Fair enough.

Autism is neither good nor bad. It depends on its wielder.

Merry Christmas! Remember to wear eye pro so you don’t shoot your eye out, kid.

I tried a CZ-75B at my local gun range, and (I hate to admit) I was a little disappointed. The double-action trigger was heavy and stagey. Despite that, the gun was comfortable to hold and shockingly accurate (given the shooter), so I'm not willing to give up on it just yet.

Maybe you can sell me on CZ. Is that trigger pull normal, or does it smooth out over time?

Well, sure, that makes sense. I just think it's odd because SIG Sauer started the micro-9's. Then again, given the US military's choices of arms, SIG might as well be an American company now.

Why haven’t most of the big European companies jumped on the micro-9 trend? (I’m thinking Beretta, Walter, HK, etc.)

Do they just not care? Or maybe there are some esoteric import/export laws regarding barrel length : number of rounds, or some such nonsense.

Now that the seasons are changing, do you switch your carry piece to something larger? Or do you stick with one size (compact?) all year long?

Instructions unclear, now have an AR with 2.75" barrel chambered in 380 Auto. Please advise.

Is an adjustable gas block on my AR-15 worth the extra cost? Or should I spend the extra money on a nicer buffer instead?

Already have a baby's first AR -- 5.56, 16"-barrel, sling and red dot. You suggesting I rinse and repeat, or are there any different builds I should consider?

All good points. Normally, I'd probably wait till the economy rebounds and/or panic buying stops. But this time, I suspect we might be going past the point of no return.

I want to get into AK’s, but I’m a filthy poor and I suspect AK’s are currently overpriced. Will prices come down if I wait a few years, or will WASRs always be worth $1000 like they are right now?

Fellow wrong-hander here. Agree with HK VP9 (or VP9SK for subcompact) and Hellcat.

Exactly how ambi are you thinking? Slide stop? Magazine release? Thumb safety, or trigger safety? Also, are you looking for a DA/SA pistol like your M9, or do you want striker-fired?

Ah, screw it. Here you go.

DA/SA with Ambi Decocker:

(1) Bersa TPR9C (budget)

(2) CZ SP-01 Tactical (not budget)

(3) Beretta Px4 Storm (nifty rotating barrel. The compact version also has ambi slide stop)

(4) Grand Power P100 / P1 / P11 (ambi everything, plus nifty rotating barrel)

(5) Arex Rex Zero (also has ambi safety and slide stop)

Striker with Ambi Thumb Safety:

(1) Springfield Hellcat (thumb safety optional)

(2) Smith & Wesson M&P Series (thumb safety optional)

(3) Sig Sauer P365 / X / XL (thumb safety optional)

Striker with Ambi Slide Stop:

(1) Canik TP9 Elite (SF model for full size, SC for subcompact)

(2) Grand Power Q100 / Q1 (ambi everything, plus nifty rotating barrel)

(3) Arex Delta

I'm forgetting a bunch. Keep asking around, you'll find one you like. Happy searching.
