Serbu’s a known manufacturer of . . . novelty firearms with a decent rep. I concur with KB that the cause of the malf lay with the hot round over-pressuring the chamber.
IIRC early SLAP ammo is/was problematic. Can't find the reference but recall that sometimes the penetrator would "squirm" sideways in the sabot upon firing and either block the barrel or go sideways through it. Will be interesting to see if there is any follow-up on cause.
