.22LR is nearly down to Obama era pricing around me. Bulk boxes break down to ~$3.33/50 but .223 still double here too. Most stores have multi calibers on hand too. Best thing to do now (unless you have none) is not buy and let it gather dust on the shelves. As the pipeline refills prices will have get cut to move inventory.
