Brother in law’s wife talked mad shit about “I’ve shot guns my whole life” pulled the trigger once on a XdS .45 and started crying. “It’s so loud!”
His daughter, my niece, pulled once and almost dropped it. All her high school indoctrination left her brain after that and she said she finally understands why guns are important.
Kid has potential, his wife is a lost cause.
I will say if you take someone shooting that's on the fence about guns and has never shot before and hand them something ridiculous that causes physical pain, congrats. It was the person's first experience with firearms, and you made it a negative experience.
An XDS should only cause pain because it hurts to hold unreliable garbage

I does hurt to hold, but I have never had reliability issues with mine, goes bang in all the right ways for me.
Yeah that's what every poor says about their bad purchase. "iT aLwAyS wOrKs FoR mE"
Hey don't blame your limp wrists and sandy cooch on my tendency to buy abrasive Croatian tupperware and FN pistols that fire out of battery.

"never had a problem" "also, never fired it"
Supposedly the grip safety fails at some point.
Just use some duct tape to hold it down.
In all seriousness, I bought an xds .45 because it was a small gun chambered in a large caliber and something about that spoke to me. Probably all the hoppes #9 I had that morning.
I didn't watch a bunch of Colon Noir or Nutinfancy vids about my tactical ROI and POU for my garbage Croatian gat. I said "it's a tiny cheap .45, I'm sold."
My only regret is I did not instead buy a Semmerling LM45.
