I want to get into AK’s, but I’m a filthy poor and I suspect AK’s are currently overpriced. Will prices come down if I wait a few years, or will WASRs always be worth $1000 like they are right now?
they will not go down in price nor will you ever be able to find affordable ammo for them again.
Keep building $400 ARs until you don't have any storage room left in the hall closet and buy a case of ammo every time you finish a build. for the price of mediocre slavshit, you now have an actually accurate rifle and the ability to feed it.
All that said, I have a century AK with 200 rounds of steel case ammo I'd sell for the low low price of $1250. all proceeds from the sale go directly to support Ukraine during this time of need*
*proceeds are taxable revenue which are reported to the IRS who then sends a portion to Ukraine via unilateral legislation which results in sending billions of dollars to a country half way around the world while our economy turns to utter shit
Already have a baby's first AR -- 5.56, 16"-barrel, sling and red dot. You suggesting I rinse and repeat, or are there any different builds I should consider?
20” cuz muh ballistics
10.5” cuz muh CQB
7” cuz muh fireball
After that you’re just building spares to arm your friends and family during the inevitable collapse of society
Build a snub nose ar.
Be a man.
If you want a WASR you should just buy one now because inflation is getting worse and the economy not including inflation is getting worse so everything will be more expensive and everyone but millionaires and billionaires will have less money. AK ammo won’t be as cheap as it used to be because Russia made all the steel case garbage but PSA is going to make Russian calibers in American and they’ve got a pretty good record of making things fairly cheap plus other countries import AK ammo into the US. I think AK ammo will be more expensive but in the long run still cheaper than 5.56
All good points. Normally, I'd probably wait till the economy rebounds and/or panic buying stops. But this time, I suspect we might be going past the point of no return.
"economy rebounds"...
Yup. We're a bit past that happening at this point.
If you just want the ak operating system could try a galil in 5.56 or 308. But the sweet steel case 7.62 is going/gone for the time being.
