So I'm gonna suggest some reading for the historian 'tists amongst us. The book is called "American Insurgents American Patriots" by T. H. Breen.
It is a fantastic book on how the people in 1700s America were involved in the revolution against British rule. There is so much I didn't know about the American revolution that this book brought to my knowledge, like, that before the battle of Lexington and Concord a huge group of armed men marched on Boston under the belief that the town had been bombarded by the British navy. It also tells of the tactics of revolution that didn't involve fighting, it shows stories of how the average person participated in revolutionary action against British Tyranny. I suggest this book because it is enlightening and it shows the build up to revolution and American independence very clearly.
I am sharing this book with you my fellow tricorn hat enthusiasts because I feel this book would make a fine addition to any book collection on American patriotism.
I will snag that next opportunity. Sounds like a good listen.
