Hey everyone who's reading this while polishing their latest gun-buy, what is the next Surplus Gun on the market?
I'm talking along the lines of Mausers (mauser actions), Star BM Pistols, AK build Kits, etc.
The only ones that are cheap are the new ones that come out. The Star BM pistols are already $100+ above their original price. AK's are fawghetaboutit, and Mosin Nagants...are actually expensive now.
Plus I can't find any parts for various surplus weapons, so now that I've run out of gun-building projects, I'm back to square one.
What do you think is the next surplus gun?
I'm hoping for a wave of surplus CZ75's and Sig-Sauers, eventually. Not sure when.
The 81-series Berettas from Italy were a steal. Surplus price vs MSRP for a new one was an absurd ratio.
Not so much looking forward to military surplus Glocks. They better be real cheap.
They'll use Glocks until the end of time.
And I'm definitely a bit sore I missed out on the surplus berettas. I had to choose between that and paying down student loans. I ultimately made the better choice (paid it off and bought 2x as many guns later).
The base-model 81's for $200, imported by PW Arms, are gone, but the 81BB's imported by RGUNS, in better average condition and finish, are still appearing on GB for $295 (sold by RGUNS).
MSRP for the only 81-series Beretta still made with a blued finish is well north $900, closing in on $1k.
Dang, I was way off on the beretta's.
I thought you were talking about the 92, the 81 looks great.
I'll pick one up this weekend :)
