Lol. Guns are simple as shit mechanically. I imagine it will take me about 3 minutes to disable any "smart" gun protections with just a dremel and the fact that I have an IQ somewhere north of 70.

Consumer routers are terrible. Get something that you can flash an open source firmware to (ddwrt etc) or something like a ubiquity router or enterprise gear. Never trust the security of your network to basic consumer software.
That would be fun. You wouldn't even need to hack them. Just replace the controller. That might require an IQ north of 85 though.
