That's a roach, no amount of bullets will exterminate them.

Hire an exterminator asap.

Going to hi-power and rimfire matches, haha.

Yeah, the eligibility requirements suck when gun clubs aren't meeting due to COVID.

Dang, I was way off on the beretta's.

I thought you were talking about the 92, the 81 looks great.

I'll pick one up this weekend :)

They'll use Glocks until the end of time.

And I'm definitely a bit sore I missed out on the surplus berettas. I had to choose between that and paying down student loans. I ultimately made the better choice (paid it off and bought 2x as many guns later).

$400+

Try again :I

10 yrs ago you could buy a SKS for $100 and get a tin can of free ammo with it.

The Beretta 92 police turn-ins were nice a few months back.

M16's.

Lemme tell you about the government.

It took an act of congress to get a few 1911's released from the giant stockpile the Gov still has. It was lobbied against, HARD. No collector wants any new guns coming on to the market and collectors have deep pockets and rub wallets with politicians.

Secondly, any GOV weapon that was ever capable of automatic fire will NEVER be sold to the public. Any parts that touched bullets will NEVER be sold to the public, all parts and receivers will NEVER make it past a shredder.

I've tried time and time again, it's no use. Even the buffers and springs get shredded. I can buy scrap shreddings, but not parts.

Current "M16 Parts Kits" are from years ago before the shredder requirement.

I've busted my tail time and time again trying to buy this stuff, it's impossible.

I wish, I'm about to cut into an old military wooden stock and I'm terrified.

I'm hoping it survives. I have about 1/16th inch of margin for error.

I'm just hoping we get tons of imported surplus firearms next year.

I love some C&R and gunsmith specials. Nothing quite like a bit of grinding and polishing to get things working.

I've seen a lot of that, unfortunately it was imported around the time the Star BM was and it hasn't taken off. (I'm looking for project guns)

The benefits of various other weapons is that some places are selling them in parts so you can assembly and file the parts to fit as necessary.

?

Why does this comment section seem like inside-joke reddit, but with extra steps?

You can get a low-cost STAR-BM as a backup.

Plus they're generally nice weapons.
