Finally got all my stuff the other day and was trying to finish my first lower. I have the Bosch 1617EVS router so I had to get the adapter plate. After figuring out how to mount the plate with no instructions or screws I was able to get through the first 2 steps in the milling process. When you get to the point you have to put on the long guide pins and try to adjust the end mill to the bottom of the 3rd slot you literally can not do it. Even when you bottom out the Bosch 1617EVS as far as it will go it's still not long enough to reach the end of the 3rd slot.

I'm hoping someone on here has the same router and was able to finish theirs and I'm just doing it wrong. I have an actual benchtop mill but it's useless without the guide.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm really doing but I think I want to buy a mill. I have a shop and lots of tools so I'm not completely unfamiliar with building stuff but I don't know shit about mills. I'm looking for something I can mount on a workbenche. Where is a good place to start or what is a good mill to start with. Also, what would it allow me to do? Like, what is the technical limits with a benchtop mill? What are some of the things most people do with them?

This isn't a normal gay shit post that is normally on this site so if it's to straight forward then delete it I guess. As the title says I've seem to have lost a complete LMT lower. I had 2 LMTs and one DPMS complete lowers no more than 4 months ago. They were always in my gun safe or this bin that I have. I took at least one LMT out 4 months ago and built a 12" pistol upper for it. I went to grab my other LMT lower to try this trick I saw using a coat hanger and it's gone. The DPMS is still there (lucky me...) but the LMT is nowhere to be found. I live in a very nice neighborhood and nothing else is gone so I don't think someone broke in and just stole that. I literally don't have any friends so none of them could have stolen it and I have turned my house completely upside down looking for it for the past two days. The only logical explanation to me is I somehow must have thrown it out. I have no idea how that could have happened because it's not like it is small but it is definitely not anywhere in my house or shop.

I'm not really looking for anything from you guys I just wanted to tell someone who might understand and say how fucking gay it is. If any of you find a LMT lower I guess you're welcome.
