MLK muthafuckin Jr. and countless black people and communities in the deep south relied on personal defense and small arms to defend themselves against white supremacist raids. The nonviolence movement didn't bring about civil liberty by itself, it was simply put forward as the most viable option to be backed by government so more support wouldn't go towards more militant groups like the Black Panthers, and history books erased all usage of firearms use in self defense by all minorities throughout the country's history. Black people should be literally the last people in the country that would want to be disarmed, yet they're being willingly led to the slaughter.
