What do people who actually work in the firearms industry think about this shit show of an election? You guys hearing anything is autists are not privy to?

Most don't give a shit. This from FenixAmmo: https://twitter.com/FenixAmmunition/status/1324727907877572609
Sadly, most of the big fish don't give a shit about the 2nd. You're too small to effect their bottom line.
I think you’ve got a great point for ammo manufacturers, but as an outsider studying history I think it’s different story for gun makers. In the past gun companies often fail when they only cater to the military or heavily cater to the military (especially after the civil war, notably Marlin after WWI)
Most USA military issued arms are now made by foreign companies (with US production facilities). FN makes all the standard issue M16 / M4s now.
Also a lot of smaller companies I would think desperately need to stand up for the 2A. I doubt companies like PSA, LWRC, LMT would survive an assault weapons ban. And the guys with special forces contracts like Daniel Defense won’t have the volume to survive without the civilian market
Hell even H&K is pivoting to the civilian market because they can’t sell to 3rd world countries and they just lost the Bundeswehr contract to CG Haenel. When Colt put effectively all their eggs in one basket with US military contracts they went bankrupt after losing it to FN.
Also most profit for gun companies I think comes from the civilian market. Governments and police departments squeeze them on prices so they have to make it up in the civilian market. Just selling to the government is too risky. Lose one contract and you go bankrupt (Colt and possibly H&K if there’s an importation ban)
Fewer gun companies are a feature not a bug of what a Harris administration will do. And if they pulled this shit in the general election, you can bet money that the two Senate run off's in GA are going to go blue too leading to a 50-50 split with Harris casting the deciding votes for the next two years until she becomes president.
Fun facts, the kraut army just rejected the haenel due to impropriety in the selection process. HK is back in contention.
They also know that the US gun market is fickle. They got fucked bad by the 89 import ban way back. But they have achieved (for them) awesome market penetration with the excellent VP9.
I dunno man, but I fucking hate gun control.
Thanks didn’t know about the Haenel thing. I was actually hoping that losing that contract would make H&K actually care about the American civilian market - one can only dream of a civilian MP7
To quote a show I love "Stop! I can only get so erect!"
suppressed stendo mp7s for all
(Mouth waters)
Manufacturer here. Obviously don't want Biden in office. Not hearing anything other than what is already known. Looks like there is clear manipulation. 100,000+ votes all coming in for Biden in the middle of the night with 0 for Trump, a statistical improbability so large it could be used as evidence in and of itself. Plus that exact thing happening in multiple states. Feels rigged, because it clearly is.
Biden wants to enforce rules that would destroy my industry and my job. I manage the online sales of firearms, which he wants to ban outright. For now though, our sales are skyrocketing and I assume they will do so up until any actual restrictions or laws are tried to be imposed.
Ultimately though, the people decide what laws and powers they allow the Government to create and dictate. This may just result in states not following national edicts. Like if a community starts teaching prayer in schools, what are the feds actually gonna do. This could just move us back into a functioning republic focused on states rights over national law.
Get your guns and ammo while you can though, because there is gonna be another dry spell in the next couple months.
I really worry about smaller companies like yourself as well as all companies without major DOD contracts. I don't know if people like PSA and such do subcontracting for other manufacturers and such, but I'd imagine all people who aren't linked into the military-industrial or law enforcement side of things are sweating the most.
Edit: It'd be nice if some of the big companies put their foot down and inconvenienced the federal government/LE crowd by refusing services and such when necessary to help protect the public from 2A infringement... but money talks, I guess.
Good luck fren and fellow American. Anyone putting guns in the hands of patriots is doing good work.
“Another” dry spell
The fuck has the past year been, then?
Can confirm from the defense dept side, they don't give a shit
If we can retain the Senate I will worry less about the possibility of heinous fuckery.
Whelp, that is just about gone. MI and AZ to be followed by GA. This is our worst nightmare. A lefty House, Senate and President.
We will be rucking up before we know it!
What's fucked is that the senate has been called all week. Now it's not? Lol fucking commie motherfuckers.
