You are a true man of culture. These kids today don't know the dissy goodness.
They also will never know the horror of permanently attached 5+in muzzle devices and shit like that from way back when del ton was a thing.
Dude, I've got a Del Ton upper on the very first AR15 lower I ever bought. I dug a DPMS 20 inch non-threaded stainless bull barreled slick side upper (with a riser built in) from a cardboard barrel at a gun show right after Obama was elected. $600 even. Got rid of that upper for obvious reasons after I woke from the fudd life and that 16" chrome lined middy Del Ton was the first upper I ever had shipped to my door. Its the only chrome lined barrel I have and its the only one I have that doesn't have a full auto bolt carrier in it. Its now spray painted as my basic bitch indestructible irons only gun.
I tried to hammer out the pins on the FSB once to change it around and they're impossible to remove... I think it was God telling me to stop being retarded and leave well enough alone.
I really appreciate you had the courage to admit to that 20 inch bull barrel. When i was very young i spent money towards tapco fucking a yugo sks. Ended up tapcofucking a maadi ak. Ditched that for the serbian shorty of my dreams.
We can all change and get better. My middy is an actual paraordnance lower from back when they existed. Gonna eventually put a prism optic on it and it will be my open field rifle.
Guns are fucking awesome. My VP9 shipped today.
Awww man, I have a 20" bull barrel. Do they make you a gay or something?
Look at me, friend, and answer that question for yourself... gaze into your future and despair.
Not gay per se, but it's the AR equivalent of socks with sandals. Awkward and horrible without the benefit of being functional like a sweet, sweet fanny pack.
I don't have an academic or scientific basis for this beyond my position as head of the autistic gun nut chef association and a sexual Tyrannosaurus. I feel these are qualifications enough though.
Don't worry, i don't judge. Any kind of AR is better than no AR. Even if it's horribly heavy and awkward and takes the elegance out of the design.
My first three gun purchases? Winchester 70 Classic in 270 WSM. Para Ordnance 1911 single stack. The 20" Bull Barrel AR... which I eventually put a quad rail on and wrapped the barrel with camo tape to hide my shame. I think that's why I started to throw off the chains of my fudd oppressors.
I know you're a fanboy, and I've accepted that about you, but you've gotta report back on the VP9. It just looks right to me for some reason. I'd have to get the VP9-B because I'm a heathen and can't handle the euro mag release.
(Pulls sleeve down over HK tattoo) fanboy? Nah......
I've actually shot VP9s since they came out, rented them at ranges, shot a friend's. Played with them a bunch. Honestly it's probably the most shootable HK platform since the P7M8. Both the VP9 and the P7 i'm able to do controlled pairs with in 15 yds easy peezy lemon squeezy. Never messed with the optics ready version but when i saw some available on plebbit gun deals i knew i had to spend all my good boy points on one.
I love the USP (obviously) and the HK45C is my spirit animal but the VP9 is really something. The glock 17 has a lower bore axis by just a touch but the VP9 has a nicer.....everything. And i really like the glock 17.
ETS makes clear mags for the VP/P30 for $17 with a lifetime warranty. I keep telling my meth how fucking amazing this is assuming they work and she just kinda nods like she does when my 'tism comes out extra hard. I love her but sometimes i question her priorities. When you paid $100 for a 15rd USP mag during that fucking ban you never forget.
My FFL has a back yard range so i'll let you know how the mags work. No judgement on the VP9B. I wish all my gats had the paddle mag release as i have grown to prefer it.
I always liked paraord too. Their later gats had massive extractors to solve one of the shortcomings of the 1911 with that precise tensioned extractor.
