The Textron looks unwieldy with that buffalo hump thing on the bottom of the rail. Also weird choice with the UCIW stock on a full size rifle... its like they're scrounging to save length when they could have increased their suppressor diameter and shortened it.
I like the other two... guess it depends on performance and if you wanna fuck with some peoples minds by handing them a bullpup. Grip on the bullpup seems like it shouldn't be so steep, though. I personally find it hard to imagine the US adopting a bullpup rifle as the standard.
I agree a bullpup seems like a hard sell to an organization like the mil that is hard af to change. Barrel length vs overall package length is a consideration though as regards trying to get their new whizbang cartridge up to enough speed to kill that well equipped raghead or commie faggot. Errybodys got armor now.
What i find humorous is the desire to go to a longer range harder hitting cartridge after the opposite happening so comparitively recently with the move from battle rifles to assault rifles in the 'nam era.
Sig's cartridge is like 80,000 PSI, which is why it has a steel case head... thats 15,000 PSI above a .270 WSM, which is already nuts. I think they're trying to achieve that performance out of a 16 inch barrel, which is why the suppressor is mandatory... its basically a 270 WSM+15k PSI extra with a faster burning powder out of a 16"-ish barrel. Instant ear death.
I just don't understand the long game involved in the transition... there's gotta be something more compact for the high speed crowd, but a cartridge like Sig's is gonna be a doozy to deal with in a SBR unless you do start complicating things (integral suppression, constant recoil, lower cyclic rate, etc)

What is old is new again!
I drink to your health,
Call me a Fudd it looks like they basically want to shoot a .270 out of a fancy .308 case that can't be reloaded...

One of the Sigs (I don't know if it's this one or the new IAR weapon) has a reciprocating barrel to offset the kick. I thought that was bonkers
The Chinese don't use body armor on standard troops. Even if they did it wod be that cheap Chinese knockoff stuff
Don't they also put female infants in baby carriers on the chest as improvised body armor?
I fucking hate the chinese communist government.
Sounds like a bunch of shit for brains faggots to me
