Means that banks can now discriminate against gun makers and retailers and deny them loans. If you do this to a minority it’s a federal crime, but if you do it to someone who likes guns it’s “progressive”
Buckle up and honk honk it’s going to be a long 4 years in clown world
So, take into account the HUGE SCROTUM CRUSHING AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR GUN STUFF that has changed hands this last year. It's unprecedented and stuff.
Now, all that money will be spent somehow. It's just a matter of who can arrange it and get it done. I find it immensely hard to believe that a bank wjll suddenly stop making money by doing business with the most profitable and busy companies.
Now, if i was starting a new gun business i might be worried. Getting loans for those might be hard. But the fact that every round and cool gun made right now gets instantly sold is a good sign for us.
In theory that money will get spent.
The economic issue that banks/competitors will face in this regard is that 1) there is no market alternative or competitor with guns, and 2) people who plan ahead for things like buying a shit ton of guns & ammo before they are heavily restricted/outlawed aren't people who will waste money on frivolous bullshit*.
It's not like when movie theaters closed, movie distribution companies contracted with HBO and Netflix instead of Regal Cinemas - there AREN'T any similar substitutes for guns or ammo in function, entertainment, use or need.
*I don't mean frivolous bullshit like $100 custom dildo foregrips for your PSA build. I mean frivolous bullshit like "oh I can't buy guns now so I'll spend my money on bullshit consumerism I don't need or want instead". My guess is a majority of that money would instead go towards savings, paying off debt, or higher quality alcohol and beef consumption. There isn't a dearth of alternative industries that would benefit the economy by making it harder to buy guns/ammo.
EDIT: leaving this up, I grossly misinterpreted what you meant. I was taking it as in if ALL banks stopped dealing with the gun industry entirely.
What i meant was that autists will go to any length to get more guns. Personally, i know EXACTLY where PSA's storefronts are in beautiful South Carolina. If i have to, i will drive there with gold bullion.
I know i'm a fanatic but i gotta feel like there are more that feel the same.
