Getting less than 100 comments on each weekly question thread so I'm moving this thread to Bi-Curious, I mean Bi-Monthly.
ask all of your Bi-Curious (but serious) questions here. Unfortunately, all of the users here are faggots so the answers will be one-sided. It's up to you to determine if that side is Top or Bottom
Depending on your particular SKS and depending on which AK you want, you might be better off keeping the SKS. If it's a tactifucked SKS with no hope of returning to original, then dump it and find a AK-47 rifle in your budget. In my experience, shorty AK pistols are too loud and unwieldy to do anything except make fireballs at the range and piss people off standing near you.
If you have a numbers matching SKS, then it's going to continue to increase in value over time whereas an AK at today's prices might hold its value and then only increase in value if there's an AWB during the Harris administration. If the market ever catches up and there's no AWB, then people paying 1000-1500 for AK rifles right now are going to be losing a lot of money.
The AK market is nuts right now, price-wise. I just sold a Draco for a little over a grand. I sold VZ58 (not an AK, I know) for $900. The bottom barrel AK's from shitty importers are going for way more than a comparable AR-15 right now, and that's if you can even find one for sale.
I understand the appeal of AK47 and 74 rifles, they are a helluva lot of fun to shoot but is there another reason you want an AK and not a different type of rifle? For the reason I shoot guns, the AK is just a range toy for me and I have enough of those already.
Finally, don't sell anything until you have it replaced with something else. There's basically nothing available at reasonable prices and there's a chance if you sell what you've got you won't be able to replace it for quite some time.
Not in a huge rush to sell or get an AK. It's a Norinco. Everything original, except the magazine. Bayonet, cleaning rod, and cleaning kit. I changed the buttplate for a thicker one for a longer length of pull. Felt like a kid's gun. I still have the original buttplate.
I like 7.62x39. I just wanted something a little more comfortable to shoot in that caliber. I already have an AR, shotgun, etc. I have most of my bases covered, just thinking of another range toy. With how high ammo prices are now, thinking of black powder.
I really like zastava.
They make great stuff. I buy my BLYATS from Atlantic and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Just gotta watch stock.
