Worked at pawn shop. Crackhead woman pulls very old revolver out of crackhead purse. Was the same gun on the cover of gun bluebook but was so beat up it was worthless vs $500K pristine.
One lady had a gun to sell but forgot where it was and fumbled around in her purse while asking her pimp if he knew where it was. He was like "bitch don't look me in the eye" and she finally found it at the bottom with gum wrappers stuck to it.
A guy said him and his wife had pawned something and he wanted to see how much he owed to get it out. Gave me his wife's name to pull the record and when I did he jumped around the counter to read the address listed. This is how people "track people down" when they don't know where they are. Sketchy shit. I got a lot of these.
A guy working there was stealing money (like $3K) and instead of fessing up or getting caught he faked a robbery by shooting himself in the leg and setting the store on fire. The store nextdoor caught it on camera and he went to jail. Owners wouldn't even have pressed charges if he would have just said why he needed the money.

That poor mistreated revolver.
Hopefully it at least got a good cleaning and polish and has retired to sit above a fireplace somewhere.
Antiques should either be absolutely pristine or totally fucked. Not collectable either way.
Or just don't give a fuck and clean it up, take the hit on what it's worth to a collector and shoot it. IDGAF it's your property.
Nope. Turned out to be stolen and the cops took it. You wanna see crazy shit...work at a pawn shop.

You should post one of your pawn shop stories every week they are very entertaining and jive with the culture of this board
