I had a couple of those taco pouches with the stacked pistol mags. I don't anymore. Try getting in and out of a vehicle with this rig and you might see why. Or not -- everyone is a little different in terms of what works.

Either way, I don't see much dirt. Make sure you get some range time in, and preferably run some vehicle and house drills in your gear. You learn things.

It's all of those things... except I do see guns.

They know we know that they are fat fucks, and it hurts their fee fees

Fun fact: you don't have to be able to squat two plates to be a AFT stepper, but you do need to WEIGH two plates. This ends about like you'd expect, ie a bunch of guys that haven't seen their dicks since before FOPA took effect lumbering around trying to take your guns and bitching about how they can't get in a squad car because their wives are pregnant when arrested by the ordinary (sometimes non-stepper) local variety of law enforcement.

You replaces the braces with stocks that have cocks. Then you drill a third hold. None of the neutered bullshit we do to comply makes sense when they no longer acknowledge our compliance.

Are you talking about Sig's new 6.8 round? Cuz that is a whole different beast than the previous 6.8's they have discussed. Big claim to fame there is the steal base to the cases, which let's them ramp pressure way the fuck up there compared to brass case rounds. I do believe it significantly outranges 7.62x51, and it does it from shorter barrels, with a lower ammunition weight.

They seem to be switching gears to a world where we fight a peer power, and the 5.56 starts falling down when you have opponents that can afford general issue body armor. They are probably going to accept more recoil and weight even in short range engagement to penetrate armor.

Either way, they are deploying it first in SAW form to get that added range over current gen systems.

Apparently yes. Amendments are like legal Pringles: you can't ignore just one.

You're right. It was a bad situation. Then the government made it a worse situation. Many such cases.

They are actively soliciting "additional information on the case".

They give the direct number to the Sheriff's office as (559)-600-3111. There is a crime stoppers number in the article, but why pay a middleman.

So yeah, if you know anything, like where he got the gun, or perhaps the location of an obscure constitutional amendment that might exonerate the poor bastard, definitely give them a call. They asked.

They found 'a body', which they then declared to be his with approximately zero evidence. He's still out there.

Birdshot maybe. 22 at 100 yards is plenty lethal though.

  1. Find friend who's marksmanship you trust absolutely.

  2. Have him shoot a tannerite target right off of your hand.

  3. No more finger prints.

PSA is kinda fancy but if you can afford it no one here is going to judge you.

That pistol brace has to go though. If a stamp is required then it's just a pure unadulterated expression of faggotry. Buy a stock.

Also, your lower is inexplicably missing a hole.

The problem is that revolvers have cylinder gaps, and autos get pushed out of battery.

Maybe this is the one practical application for those old remington "charger" pistols.

That's what I heard too. He said that there will no longer be additional legal penalties for replacing a pistol brace with a non gay stock, and drilling the third hole on any such rifle is also free of additional consequences.

We need to be compiling lists of alphabet boys in every state, and reasonable reasons that they should be red flagged. Then as states pass these laws we file for red flag confiscation from every fed in the state the day after.

For the children.

You would think that the whole habeas corpus thing would make prosecution for any victimless crime unconstitutional on its face -- to the point that we shouldn't even NEED the second amendment to back up the common sense (which is to say absolute) interpretation of said amendment.

Drugs can come too.

Glock 19 if I am dressed to hide it, Glock 43x if I am not.

Schools are still pretty closed. You can't really rack up a body count that way without racking up a carbon footprint to match, and they care about being green.

Expect "essential" businesses to be the main target.

You've honestly got me thinking here.

Has anyone tried machining an AR-15 lower out of wood yet? I can't think of a single reason that a good chunk of solid oak wouldn't be perfectly viable as an AR lower receiver.

The only problem I can think is that the dimensional stability of the wood might not be good enough to preserve the relationship between the fire control components, resulting in unintentional hammer fall. You might have to stick a small steel plate in there to keep the hammer and trigger pins in proper alignment.

Might also have to beef up the cross section a bit where the stock attaches -- but that's solved easily enough by making the stock integral to the lower receiver.

The upper could be more of an issue -- you'd need some aluminum inserts for the cam pin to ride on to ensure you don't get out of battery fire. Perhaps an aluminum ring for the barrel to screw into to also serve as the rear sight platform. That isn't really a pressure bearing joint though, is it?

This was true 10 or 15 years ago, but I think it's starting to change. It's a secondary weapons system. The weight savings alone has probably pushed toward a world where G19's are in all the spec ops holsters.

In any case, we're talking about guys carrying FMJ's. Move to modern JHP's like us civvies use and suddenly that old 1911 loses both it's lethality edge and much of it's vaunted feed reliability.

2
LessAndLessIronic 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, we can't. The fact that we are actually bothering to engage in a 9 vs 45 conversation in <present year> is about the most ominous sign ammo shortage I have seen yet.

2
LessAndLessIronic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Right? Yet somehow it's also the favored caliber of arthritic old men?

I don't know. I actually still favor the 9 for most practical purposes, but my inner Fudd is really shining today. I honestly kinda miss carrying a 45.
