I wear double ear pro on the indoor PISTOL range and it's still loud. I could never shoot rifles inside. I hate shooting indoors, it takes all the fun out of it

Good grief you shot that on an indoor range? A buddy of mine's got one of those shorty ARs and it's loud when it's outside. And you gotta stand right behind him when he's shooting it or else it feels like you're getting slapped in the face with every shot. He does have a wonky compensator/flash hider combo on the muzzle so that might be why
