If you want to see something really cool, look into Dardick revolvers. They're ugly-as-sin mag-fed revolvers that fire triangular-cased "trounds" that haven't been manufactured for something like 60 years. Puts a whole new meaning behind ammo being rare and expensive.
They called them "trounds" lol.
You are a badass for bringing up this wondefully obscure piece of gun history.
People have been working on 3d printing tround "cases" to insert regular 38's into to make those guns useful again since there's actually a fair amount of Dardick guns but no ammo for them
I went to a reloading store a while back and the old guy behind the counter actually had a real tround! Thought it was a super cool novelty
Finally, a weapon as retarded as the 1911
Boo whore
Y tho?
The poor euros had not yet witnessed the glory of John Browning's tilting barrel
*giggles in 1911
How does it eject spent brass?
It looks like the front spring under the barrel is the ejection mechanism. We need Gun Jesus to do a video on this,
Gun Jesus has an article about it https://www.forgottenweapons.com/landstad-1900-automatic-revolver/
The Simpsons predicted this
"Engineer Landstads 'automatic revolver from 1900. Manufactured at the Head arsenal. Very few rounds fired, and it's said the revolver was a total failure. First Norse gun to be with regards to a possible future semiautomatic service gun. The revolver is preserved in England. Dr Geoffrey Sturgess collection and photo."
I'm not Norse so sorry for any mistranslation.
