That sounds awesome on the pearl grips. Did you know that in that movie they used 9mm 1911s because they couldn't at that time get .45 blanks to go off reliably? Same as in "the wild-bunch".
At fabric stores they sell a kind of mesh fabric like they use in laundry bags that makes a great stencil for aforementioned snakeskin pattern. That is how I painted my bolt action savage and my beloved PSA AR ol' Bessie. Both in FDE and black.
Thinking of grey for my AR10 because it would be cool.

Is that right? Neat! I had no idea, I knew Jules' used a 9mm Star B but I thought Vince's Auto Ordanance was a .45, the more you know.
