Hey Uncle Scruff. I want to build an AR pistol again but I can't decide if I should go with a 7 inch fireball maker or a 10.5. Please bless me with your sage advice.
The 10.5 can be very practical. It's what I got because of availability and that practical concern.
I fucked up.
Should have gotten a 7.5 just because it would be cool.
Best part is you can fuck with gun normies all day long when they talk about how ballistically ineffective it is.
Yeah this is what I'm thinking. I used to have a 12.5 and I didn't like it much at all. Just felt like a slightly shorter carbine I couldn't legally put a stock on.
Pretty sure 556 out of 7.5 inch barrel is still gonna vibe check a lot harder than 9mm.
I'm pretty sure inside 75 yds it will fuck up whatever. Might be 50 yds. Either way it's good to go for anything defensive in most any instance.
I think your stubby Benis will look cool.
I'd be looking for a cheap upper but I'm saving all my pennies for a Sig Legion x-five 320.
Shot one and holy fucking shit did it impress me. Like an SVI 2011 with reliable mags that doesn't cost $4000.
Oh man. I love Sig Legion triggers so much. I'd love to pick up one some day. I saw a guy with 22 22s on reddit so I'm trying to get to 9 9mm. Seems reasonable enough for a gun autist goal.
10.5 is the shortest configuration that an AR will reliably cycle in, and that's still on the bleeding edge. 14.5 will fuck up a lot of armor with M193
