I need another rifle, but can’t make up my mind on what to get. The only thing is it MUST be a long action. None of this 5.56 or 300BLK BS (love them, just need a break ya know. Looking for some thicc girl strange.)
I’m leaning toward the SIG Cross in 6.5, but could be easily talked into something else.
Do summin in .300 win mag.
It needs to be a featherweight. You don't want to hump around a 15 pound rifle, trust me.
I second this. I had a .300 win mag back Ina day n it was a fuckin cannon
Friend's grampa let us shoot if we bought ammo and one of his rifles was a model 70 featherweight.
You feel like a man after a 5 shot group. An old man with back and shoulder pain, but a man nonetheless.
That sounds like a trick… I’ve never shot a 300 before, but I imagine it’s gonna need some weight to soak up recoil, right?
If I do get one, I’ll make sure to put the most obnoxious muzzle brake on it and sight it in at my local indoor range.
Minumum weight. Let your shoulder soak up the recoil. The more "felt recoil" you have, the more you respect the caliber for what it is.
Ah yes, the old “stop being a pussy” method. I remember it well.
In with the requisite "What you trying to do?"
Reach out and touch at a distance?
Reach through a barrier?
Or just put bigger holes in something?
Looking for bigger holes at longer distances. It’s unlikely I’ll be shooting through any barriers.
.338 Lapua if you reload and hate money
Money is overrated. Boomsticks are where it’s at.
I don’t reload yet, but I might start.
Why not just get 50 BMG at that point?
Savage MSR 10 in .308 treating me pretty well. Other than the factory installing an AR15 bolt hold open everything else is solid.
Changing my answer...Browning BAR in .30-06. Really wanted 1 but big moneys.
