So I bought 2 heritage rough riders in January but I can't collect them because the FFL I had them shipped to got fucked by the county sheriff's office and they lost his gun transfer license or some commie bullshit (WA) so he can't complete any transfers or he will be dragged off by the statist troopers. Unfortunately for me he discovered this whole fuck fest had occurred about 2 or 3ish days after I started the background check process so now my guns are stuck in limbo because he can't cancel the process and send the guns to an FFL that wasn't fucked by this mass loss of papers, (several other small FFLs also got screwed by this fuckery) and he also can't give me the guns because of the secret police. I'm not asking a question or anything, just venting my rage at this retarded predicament I'm stuck in. That is all.

9" to 10.5" is the optimal barrel length for .300blk, i think. I'd pick a longer hand-guard with a big i.d. that a suppressor would fit inside, then it could handle like a rifle. Some sig MCX's come like this.

Does anyone here have any tips or warnings about constructing a berm / backstop for a private shooting range?
Check local/county ordinances. Make sure there's nothing behind it for a long ways. Build it twice as high as you think it should be- nothing gets people pissed off more than wounded cattle or having rounds zip past their head while on a tractor. If you can, build an L shape so you can do more dynamic shooting/moving drills. Getting approval from the Sheriff is possible just in case pissy neighbors complain. Preferably you're already friends with your neighbors, which precludes any possible steppage...
This is a lot of what i see. I'm escaping the city to the sticks. Surrounded by farms where a lot of people already shoot. I think I'm good there, but will definitely make friendly with the neighbor and keep the shooting to reasonable hours.

Well I was going to do 8 ft berm with 2 more feet of wooden "fencing" at the top. I think 20ft might be a bit much.

Build it really well, check out if you need any permits/permissions or if there are any ordinances stopping you, and then never ask permission again and just do it.

Rifle, mags, web gear, CAT tourniquet/IFAK first. Then get a CCW setup, drawing a pistol from a belt is much more practical/faster/looks 10x better for any SD scenario in public. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable keeping up with a gun off my body in the city, i.e. purse or pack. Then add an OWB belt kit.
Have a medical bag with CAT and IFAK and always CCW, are concealable soft plates overkill though?
Soft armor vest suck ass to wear all day especially if it's hot out. If I felt the need to don armor, I either would change my plans/destination for the day or shit is really going down and the full kit/PC comes out.\
I think that most people are lacking in their web gear/PC setup. Find a place to run a full mile in full kit, fix what chafes. Or find a tactical games-style match to attend for a decent shakedown of your gear
