Kimber with the hammer down?
It's one of my biggest of all time annoyances when shows have the 1911 and then show it hammer down, like it's supposed to be ready to go like that.
Almost as annoying as when some faggot says "think of the children"
It's probably worse than that, it's probably an empty chamber.
Strictly speaking, hammer down should be on an empty chamber.
Why are you worried about your split times from a draw when in real life you have to factor in things like positive ID.
Were taught to shout and show before shooting. I think you could squeeze in cocking the hammer unless your plan is to quick draw on some fucker as if he's just a steel target down range.
Cocking the hammer or racking the slide can be thought of as another step towards de-escalation in the same vein as "show."
Huh. (Scratches head)
Huh. (Takes look at self and life)
Huh.
Well damn. (Slides over fresh uncapped beer)
If the gun is out, the time for the de-escalation is probably over.
Right? I ain't dealing with some pansy "brandishing" charge.
Naw the gun coming out is the de-escalation in a majority of the cases
Guns usually de-escalate the situation
Time to send them to the big rattler in the sky, so to say?
Were you also taught to be a faggot, or did that happen organically?
Shout maybe, but who the fuck draws before shooting? Not P320 owners, that's for sure.
It's to protect your ass in court. I'm not a faggot. Any other questions?
No need to protect yourself in court if you're dead because you carry your 1911 hammer down or unchambered and got domed while trying to manipulate your firearm.
I don't know what backwater LE, mil, or body guard program you learned that in but it's gutter-tier advice for private citizens.
Flicking the safety down is all the time I need for target acquisition, compadre.
You mean the trigger? Mine pulls in not down.
I carry a single action Sig. I'm autistic, but not "carry an unlocked SAO" without a safety autistic.
If there was a plan...it would be quick draw. Good luck with your shouting match.
It goes along way especially in the aftermath of sitting in a courtroom. But that's what I was taught considering it was a class to conceal carry in residential areas as opposed to say an active warzone. The situation will call for what's appropriate, I'm just pointing out it's not strictly incorrect to carry not ready to fire.
ahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
