I too attended an Appleseed.

My buddies with Gucci guns are mostly afraid to take them apart and work on them. So this situation is normally reversed.

Someone has a problem with a $2500 rifle, sends it back, waits. Meanwhile I am rocking an $800 rifle that has been just as if not more reliable -- and the difference in money is spent on having at least three spares of literally every part on the gun, a full set of proper punches and action blocks, etc etc.

Fuck warranties.

I agree with the basic sentiment, but I also think you have to boog where you are at. If a guy is 80 lbs overweight it's good that he recognizes that and gears up within his limitations. If you can't move in 40 lbs of gear you should change that, but until you do you should be realistic about it.

I shredded my Reddit account the day bestgunnit went away. Was an active user there for years, well into six digit karma, and terminated the whole thing.

Am still kind of bitter about what they took from us.

So he is still declaring a willingness to fuck around, yet he continues to demonstrate a reluctance to find out. Interesting.

I apologize for lack of feet. This isn't mine. I saw it randomly on one of the chans, and couldn't not post it here.

Common powders used in bottle necked rifle cartridges are generally much slower than those used in straight wall pistol cartridges.

Aside from powder burn there is also geometry. The case volume of that .308 is relatively large compared to the bore volume of a 5 inch 308 barrel. Handgun bores trend fat to take more advantage of the slower acceleration times in short barrels. Rifles trend skinny to get more sectional density, and tend to have greater case capacity to keep the pressure curve higher for longer.

With all that said, 308 is going to be severely handicapped by a 5 inch barrel, but it is still running a 55kpsi max pressure with a great big case. It should be at least slightly faster than a 7.62 BLK out of the same barrel length. It will almost definitely deliver better than handgun performance, provided that you can find or make a .308 caliber projectile that provides good terminal ballistics in the velocity range you actually get.

It will however be extremely inefficient. Most of the excess energy offered by that .308 cartridge will go into massive sound and flash. You'll be wasting much of the cartridge's potential for only minimal performance gain over something better suited to the short barrel.

That facial expression gets funnier the longer I look at it.

I'd rather have a high point. Nothing that deserves shooting deserves to be shot by an HK.

Rittenhouse is not on trial. We already know he did nothing wrong.

What is on trial here is America. If it isn't acquitted, execution may be required.

Strictly speaking, hammer down should be on an empty chamber.

Shout maybe, but who the fuck draws before shooting? Not P320 owners, that's for sure.

Attempted murder of an ATF agent should double the prison the sentences involved; it isn't okay to try and take the life of a federal agent (and fail).

I'm pretty sure it's out there. It's a product of a different time though. Lots of people doing lots of ... things ... that have since become impossible due to modern zap carry techniques.

TL/DR: The Boomba can't do it's job if the steppers can't find your house, so go forth and worry not.
