Do you guys have any suggestions on recently designed American made semi auto rifles (or shotguns). I feel like there has been a lot of innovation out there and I like supporting small companies, companies that manufacture in the US and companies that take chances on new designs so if you have any guns or companies to share please do.

The AR-15 is the perfect rifle, readily available, and cheap to boot. No need to try and improve on perfection.
The AR is the perfect intermediate caliber rifle. I wish I could find an equally well standardized and tested platform in .308

Desert Tech and Robinson Armament are the only things that really come to mind. Both have mixed reputations.
